Speed Awareness

This course focuses on speed and awareness of the possible consequences of speeding combined with general On Road Awareness and Advanced Driving Techniques.

Why should you attend a speed awareness course?
Research has shown that speed is a major contributory factor in about one third of all road accidents. Driving too fast was the main cause of 1,200 deaths and more than 20,000 serious injuries on built up roads in the UK last year.  Statistics show the main cause of road crashes is a combination of inappropriate speed with some form of human error. Speeding is bad driving.

Who should attend
  • Drivers who have been driving for a number of years and have received no further professional driver training since passing the initial test.
  • Those drivers who are not sure how to recognise speed limits and wherethey change.
  • Drivers who have been prosecuted for speeding and for whom rising insurance costs are a concern.
  • Drivers who are close to being banned as a result of accumulation of penalty points.
