Driving Partners Ltd Fleet Training Course Format

To ensure that your drivers and company get the most from the time spent with our trainers our fleet driver courses follow a set format:

Driver Initial Assessment

This first part of the course allows our trainers to assess your driver's habits this will establish areas for the main part of the training to concentrate on.

Interactive Presentation

By focusing on any poor habits highlighted in the assessment drive, the trainer will target the individual drivers knowledge and risk assessment skills and be able to develop a better understanding of good practice in a non risk environment.  During this period, the trainer will be able to develop knowledge and application of Road Traffic Law.

Defensive Driving Skills

The main part of the training involves defensive and advanced driving skills these are methods which encourage the driver to control the position and speed of the vehicle safely and smoothly and adapting to the road and traffic. This skill requires a positive and courteous attitude along with a high standard of driving competence based on concentration, effective all round observation, anticipation and planning.

Fuel Efficient Driving Techniques

Your drivers will be encouraged to drive in a more eco-friendly and fuel efficient way and with more mechanical sympathy to the vehicle. These techniques have many cost benefits to your company.

Written Driving Assessment

A written report, based on the participants' performance will be produced at the end of the session, risk areas are highlighted and if required, further training is recommended. Copies of the Risk Assessments are provided for line managers.
